About Me
A little about who I am and why I do this work.
MSW, RSW — Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist
Melissa Tolman
I'm a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work degree and years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through some of life's most challenging moments.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model — I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from a range of evidence-based therapies.
I'm passionate about creating a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported — free from judgment. Whether you're facing anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to walk alongside you.
What guides my work
Compassion
I approach every client with genuine warmth and care. You'll never feel like just another appointment.
Collaboration
Therapy works best as a partnership. I follow your lead and we set goals together.
Non-judgment
This is a safe space. Whatever you bring, you'll be met with openness and respect.
Evidence-based
I draw from proven therapeutic approaches, always adapting them to fit your individual needs.
